Tuesday, August 13 is the actual anniversary of the establishment of Christ Our Hope as a Parish. The rosary will begin at 6 pm. It will be spoken in multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, Mende and Igbo. Following the rosary, we will gather in the Sister Thea Bowman Hall for a reception. The food has been provided by The Women's Council, Men of Christ Our Hope, The Hispanic Community and other generous members of Christ Our Hope. The menu includes: Turkey, Chicken, Tamales, Yellow Rice, Green Beans, Corn, Mashed Potatoes, Fruit and Beverages. Father Junot Nelvy, Pastor, will give a brief presentation on the founding of the parish.

This evening, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, the final night of our anniversary revival, We have the privilege and honor of having the priest who answered the call and brought this Catholic Church to Lithonia with a small but faithful group of founding parishioners, Father John Kieran. He has been faithfully serving the Archdiocese of Atlanta for over 50 years since his ordination in 1967.
His topic will be "Reflection on Christ Our Hope".

We will have praise and worship led by Director of Music Mr. Jack Tilson. Afterwards we will have fellowship and light refreshments as well as photo opportunities with Father John and each other in the Sr. Thea Bowman Hall. We look forward to seeing you there tonight!
The Women's Council of Christ Our Hope will be our hostesses for this final evening of our revival! You don't want to miss this event.
Tuesday, July 30, 2024, was the second night of our 3 day revival. Our Revivalist will be Rev. Dr. Guyma Noel, one of our former pastors at Christ Our Hope. Father Guyma Noel's topic will be "Our 40 Years Journey". Father Guyma has several degrees including his most recent Doctoral Decree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Global Public Policy and Social Change. However one of his most significant contributions to this parish was to celebrate the first mass in Spanish in July 2011. That served as the beginning of the ever flourishing beginning of the Hispanic Ministry at Christ Our Hope.
Father "Dr" Guyma spoke about "Survival, Revival and Arrival".

Monday evening, July 29, 2024 we had the opportunity to recharge our "spiritual batteries" with the inspiration of Father Jack Durkin, former pastor of Christ Our Hope and current pastor of St. Monica Catholic Church. When Father Paul Onyebuchi visited us two weeks ago, he spoke of the importance of staying charged up for our spiritual journey. As he shared in his homilies, we would not let our cell phone batteries run out, we would recharge them... so too must we "recharge" our "spiritual batteries".
This is the time to do so! Our evening was hosted by the Men of Christ Our Hope. Our MC was Evangelist Dr. Stephen McMullen.
Many joined us as we heard about the Importance of the Eucharist in our lives! Father reminded us of the importance of prayer in our lives and to show in our actions by reverence that Jesus is present in the Tabernacle. Also we as humans don't have all the answers but if we pray and wait, God Has the Answers!

We will then encounter multiple languages and cultures with serenades from our Hispanic Choir "Alma Misionera". We have International Entertainer E. Walter Smith who will be providing Christian songs to touch your heart. Our very own Pastor, Father Junot Nelvy will be a soloist. In addition two of our youth will make their debuts as they lead us in song. Finally the last portion of the program is guaranteed to sooth and lift your spirits.
