Father Junot Nelvy was born in Cayes, Southwest Haiti, the youngest child from a family of four children. He attended primary and secondary school in Haiti and studied construction at the Salesians technical school (CDAM), where he earned a degree in construction. Father Junot began his discernment to the priesthood in the Les Cayes diocese, then moved permanently to the United States in 2008. He went to Georgia State University for English, then in the fall of 2009, attended the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, where he completed a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and a Master’s in Theology, ordained to the priesthood on the 28th of June 2014 at Christ the King Cathedral in Atlanta by the Most Reverend Wilton D. Gregory, archbishop of Atlanta. Father Junot Served in the following assignments Parochial vicar at St Catherine of Sienna in Kennesaw, Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta, and Holy Family Catholic Church in Marietta. Father Junot is currently the pastor at Christ our Hope Catholic Church in Lithonia and serves as Reserved Military Chaplain in United States Army. For hobbies, Father Junot likes to play sports, play music and sing, hike, and ride a motorcycle.
